Promenade(Stage) - presentation of hand made dough, called “šurlice”.Recipe by Mrs. Neda Karabaić. Presentation will be held on croatian, english,german and italian language, accompanied by mandolin-ensemble BODULI, Punat.

Recipe for ŠURLICE:
Ingredients (for 6-8 persons): 1 kg flour, 0,5 l water, 1 egg, 1 yolk, 1 dcl olive oil, salt.Procedure: Knead all the ingredients to firm dough. The dough is to be rolled and cut into ca 1 dkg pieces. Roll the pieces, one by one, arround a knitting needle to form “šurlica” tube-shaped pasta ca 10 cm long. Take šurlica off the needle so it stays hollow. Šurlice are to be cooked in salted water until tender, ca 15-20 minutes. They are usually served with lamb, beef or veal stew but are delicious with other sauces too, with scampi or squid sauce.Do not forget to scrub some sheep-cheese, it gives special taste.
