GRANFONDO Cycling Event
The 3rd Krk Granfondo Falkensteiner Punat cycling race will take place on the island of Krk on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Due to the high level of safety required for this international race, special traffic regulations will be in effect across the entire island.
Road closure schedule:
- Punat town center: 9:30 – 10:10 AM
- State road D102 from Punat to Omišalj: 9:30 – 11:15 AM
- Road from Omišalj to Čižići: 10:45 – 11:30 AM
- Road from Čižići (Soline, Hlapa, Gostinjac, Risika) to Vrbnik: 10:45 AM – 12:00 PM
- Road from Vrbnik to the D102 junction: 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM
- D102 above Punat all the way to the center of Baška (descent to Baška, passing through Draga Bašćanska and Jurandvor), passing through Baška town center via Zvonimirova Street, turning via Ante Starčevića Street, and returning through Jurandvor and Draga Bašćanska: 11:30 AM – 1:15 PM
- Road from the Kornić roundabout to county road ŽC5125 (Punat): 12:00 – 2:00 PM
Residents of the island of Krk are kindly asked to follow the instructions of the police and race marshals to ensure the safety of participants on the roads. We apologize in advance for any possible traffic congestion and kindly ask for your patience.
The Punat Tourist Board invites all interested citizens to support this international race and join the marshal service in ensuring smooth traffic flow along the race route.

Embark on an exciting cycling adventure on the picturesque island of Krk! Join Krk Granfondo 2026, a thrilling race that covers a scenic 82-kilometer route. This stunning ride will take you through some of the island’s most enchanting landscapes and offer an unforgettable experience of Krk’s diverse terrain.
Starting from the charming town of Punat, participants will ride toward the town of Krk, after which the route continues through idyllic villages—Malinska, Njivice, Omišalj, Dobrinj, and Vrbnik—before heading to Baška, exploring the island’s varied landscapes and rich cultural heritage along the way.
