Days of sopila

At the beginning of next week, "Dani sopila", an event that combines music, education and multimedia art, with the intention of preserving intangible cultural heritage, will begin in Punat. Traditional music nurtured for centuries on the island of Krk is becoming more accessible thanks to innovation and technology, which helps sopile and kanat to remain a part of living musical practice.

The originator, musician and author of this valuable project is Andro Manzoni, and the program of the project was drawn up in collaboration with "Udruga sopaca otoka Krka" and Noel Šuran, currently the most influential ethnologist in the field of traditional music of Istria and Kvarner.
