Ri Teatar presents: “MAKE HRVATSKA GREAT AGAIN”

! Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the Ri Teatar performance “MAKE HRVATSKA GREAT AGAIN”, instead of being held in the courtyard of the Municipality of Punat, will take place at the National Hall.

The play “MAKE HRVATSKA GREAT AGAIN” presents an emotional and, above all, humorous story about two mothers (Marta and Danica) and their two sons (Jerko and Neo), whose lives collide over the same question – joining the army. While one mother believes that military service is a path to maturity, discipline and honour, the other strongly opposes it, wanting to protect her son from uniforms and orders. Through their conflicts, conversations and comic situations, the play explores parental expectations, freedom of choice and generational differences, with a warm dose of humour and relatable everyday situations.

Jerko wonders – how can he avoid compulsory military service?
Neo wonders – how can he join the army when his mother won’t let him?
Marta and Danica wonder – how is it that their sons are so different from the two of them?

But when Donald Trump himself gets involved in the whole mess, the situation becomes alarmingly hilarious.

“MAKE HRVATSKA GREAT AGAIN” is a comedy that addresses the current situation in Croatia and the world in an absurdly humorous way. Every scene is unexpected, and the laughter never leaves the audience’s faces until the very end. The play portrays the mentality of our people, while the influence of the media and the ever-present Donald Trump guarantees entertainment and laughter – something Ri Teatar has been delivering across Croatia for years.

The small professional cast consists of experienced actors Jasna Jeličić and Galja Milošević, as well as young actors Andrej Gregorin and Andre Šebalj. The text was written by Donato Jurković, directed by Bojan Lakoš, with Duje Katalinić as assistant director, set design by Galja Milošević, and technical management by Adam Miler.
