Art exhibition - Davor Gobac
We invite you to view the solo exhibition of multimedia artist Davor Gobac, which is on display at the TOŠ Gallery from August 14, 2025 to September 3, 2025, and you can visit it every day from 18:00 h to 22:00 h. Admission is free.

The works of Davor Gobac offer a compelling and authentic insight into his visual art, revealing a lesser-known, yet equally vital, dimension of his creative personality. While his paintings emerge in the solitude of individual expression, they represent a deep dive into the artist’s inner world—his emotions, imagination, and unique sensibility. This exploration of visual language runs parallel to, and occasionally intersects with, the image of Gobac familiar to the public: the dynamic frontman of Psihomodo Pop, a figure shaped by decades of media presence.

About the Artist
Davor Gobac was born in Karlovac on February 17, 1964, where he spent his early years before relocating with his family to Zagreb. At the age of thirteen, he began his musical journey in the cult band Klinska Pomora. In 1983, he joined Neron, which soon rebranded as Psihomodo Pop. As the group’s frontman and the author of most of its lyrics and music, Gobac became a central figure in the Croatian rock scene. A passionate admirer of rock’n’roll and animated films, Gobac is also a devoted connoisseur of punk music and a wide spectrum of musical genres. Alongside his musical career, he nurtured a lifelong love for visual art. With a distinctive and recognizable style, he has held over 40 solo exhibitions since 1998, when he debuted at Klovićevi dvori in Zagreb. He defines his style as New Pop, drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol, Walt Disney, and iconic comic book artists such as Jacovitti, Max Bunker, and Magnus. He does not sell original artworks, choosing instead to gift them to friends—but offers selected graphic prints for sale.
